Maritime Port of tribugá

The Tribugá Port will be a multipurpose port boasting a deep harbour and will strengthen Colombia's presence in the Pacific basin. It will not have access, anchorage or berthing restrictions. Eventual dredging facilities, with a length of piers in phase 1 and phase 2 of 700 m and an initial depth between 16 and 18 m, with an initial maneuvering dock of 63.5 ha, initial Port yard area of 26 ha, with a capacity for ships of more than 8,000 TEUS, for vessels with a draught of more than 14.5 m and later on for tankers.

The future port has a double road access included in the national network of highways, which crosses 10 departments: one, the Transversal Arauca-Tribugá of 963 kms, already executed at 92% and in the process of designing Phase III of the last section to be built, between "el afirmado and Nuquí"; and two, the transverse Santafé de Bogotá-Las Ánimas, of 428 kms already built at 100%; Both transverse connect the East, Center and West of Colombia.

This port is projected as one of the most important port developments at the national level due to its impact on regional economies, the significant increase in productivity and competitiveness of the national economy, the strengthening of Colombia's presence in the Pacific basin, the generation of significant impact on the creation of direct jobs, the increase in national export capacity and the generation of significant income for the region and the nation.
